American baritone, Joseph Gansert, is quickly making his mark on the international opera stage, known for his commanding presence and a large, expressive voice that audiences consistently describe as both effortless and powerful. 

 

His dramatic interpretations include the tyrannical Scarpia in Puccini's Tosca, Jochanaan in Strauss' Salome and the complex title role in Verdi's Rigoletto. Other significant portrayals feature Michele in Il Tabarro, Giorgio Germont in La Traviata, and Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana.
